Woodworking

My Toy Train 2007

In addition to reading, writing, cooking and traveling, I love woodworking.

I worked in a cabinet shop, and have made much of our own home furniture, as well as furniture for clients and family, and toys.

I had my own woodshop at home starting in 2001, in Nashville, Tennessee. We moved the woodshop to two other homes in Nashville, until late 2008 when we moved to St. Louis. I loved this time in my life, making toys and furniture, and hope to create a new woodshop here in Portugal someday.

Check out my woodworking portfolio in Flikr.

Since our move to Portugal, I have not re-created my woodworking shop, but hope to do that again in a few years. In the meantime, I enjoy the beautiful work of others.
